A laden container moves through these stages:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Awaiting entry | It’s in the yard, and no customs entry is lodged yet |
| Entry lodged | The entry number is recorded |
| Verification | An agency has flagged it for inspection |
| Customs hold | It can’t leave until the hold is cleared |
| Released | It’s cleared by customs |
| Gated out | It has left |
An Owner, Yard Supervisor or Customs Desk can change the status.
Change it
- Open the container’s page.
- Under Customs stage, choose the next stage.
- For Entry lodged, enter the Customs entry number.
- Choose Save.
Each change goes on the container’s timeline, with who made it.
What can follow what
- Awaiting entry can become Entry lodged or Customs hold.
- Entry lodged can become Verification, Released or Customs hold.
- Verification can become Released or Customs hold.
- Customs hold can become Verification or Released.
- Released can go back on Customs hold.
Tip: To send a box for inspection, use Customs verification, which also books the bay and moves the box.
